I have loved working as a Special Education Teacher for the last 33 years. My first ten years I spent teaching in the New York City Public Schools where I taught Bilingual Special Education. In 2001, I started teaching in a self-contained Special Education classroom at the Westbury School District. For the last 13 years, I have taught in an ICT classroom. I have also taught the Summer Program for Students with Special Needs as well as the extended day program and tutoring.
I graduated from Hunter College where I earned a bachelor's degree with a dual major in Elementary Education and Spanish. Later, I obtained a master's degree in special education from Fordham University.
I am currently volunteering for my church teaching English as a Second Language for adults. I enjoy working with students and seeing them strive to reach their potential. I look forward to working with your children and helping them achieve their potential.
