Applying to art, architecture or design school (or for work within a design field) requires a portfolio. Let my years of experience as a professional Architect/ Designer, who has taught within design higher education, help you navigate this cumbersome additional hoop.
Together we can answer questions like, “What is a portfolio?” “How many pieces are enough”, “Do I need architecture drawings to apply to architecture school, fashion pieces for fashion school, etc…?”, “What else can I put in a portfolio?” and especially, “What if I don’t have a portfolio yet?”
Under my guidance let’s create a stunning portfolio!
Whether you already have art and design work, just want to organize what you have, or you’d like to add some design work to a portfolio, I can teach a student to feel confident in this process. Perhaps you just have questions about where to apply for a special program like film, interior design, architecture, etc. I’ll help point you in the right direction.
Some schools my recent students have gotten generous scholarships to attend are the School of Visual Arts, University of Southern California (USC), Yale (graduate photography) Syracuse University, Pratt Institute, University of Virginia (UVA) Architecture, NYIT Architecture, Savannah College of Art and Design and FIT.

I am a former Professor of Design at Pratt Institute, a career and technical

I am a graduate of Pratt Institute, with a Bachelor of Architecture (Barch) and a Masters of Industrial Design (MID), and have dedicated my career to interdisciplinary design due to my early work at Pentagram and Lippincott, an unparalleled training ground. Professionally I have been involved in Commercial Architectural Interiors, Product Design, and Graphic Design, published for innovations in design, and was awarded a Presidential Design Achievement Award by the National Endowment for the Arts. I have always been interested in the possibility of social change through design, education, and especially the written word. After a decade of writing, where I completed two novels, and am working on a third, I am currently working on my first screenplay, Bandwidth.
