My name is Kimberly Taylor. I currently hold a New York State permanent certificate in elementary education (nursery-6th grade). In 2003, I recieved my Master's Degree from C.W. Post/LIU and completed my Plus 30 credits in 2022. I have over 10 years of elementary classroom teaching and tutoring experience in both Long Island public schools and the NY DOE and currently work as a permanent substitute teacher. As a certified LETRS literacy coach, I have a deep understanding and knowledge of the science of reading. I provide students with the skills they need to master the fundamentals of reading and writing instruction including phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and written language. I also support students' math skills such as fact fluency, operations, fractions, measurement, and word problems by using manipulatives and creating fun and interactive math games. I identify each students academic needs and goals by modifying individualized instruction while assessing strengths and weaknesses. I am excited to be a part of the Homework Hub team and have the opportunity to work with the most amazing students!
