For the past 29 years, I have taught English and journalism at Wantaugh High School. My journalism students won over 250 writing awards in several journalism contests including the Empire State Scholastic Press Association annual awards contest out of Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University. 

I have also coached varsity golf and wrestling and middle school baseball and wrestling in addition to having been ahead collegiate wrestling coach in the 1980s at Haverford College, Haverford, P.A. Additionally, I was a newspaper reporter at the Philadelphia Inquirer and the Delaware County Daily Times in the 1980s. I continue to write and have been published in Newsday and regularly contribute to silversagemag.com.
