Prepare for the PRANCE With Homework Hub
The Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE) is a standardized certification examination designed to assess the medical knowledge, clinical reasoning, and patient care skills necessary for entry-level physician assistant (PA) practice. Administered by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), the PANCE is an essential step toward becoming a certified physician assistant (PA-C) and obtaining professional licensure.
The examination is intended for graduates of physician assistant programs accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA). It evaluates candidates' ability to apply medical knowledge, interpret clinical information, make informed diagnostic decisions, and develop appropriate patient management plans.
The PANCE consists of 300 multiple-choice questions divided into five sections of 60 questions each. Candidates have 60 minutes to complete each section, with additional time provided for scheduled breaks and an examination tutorial.
