Hello, my name is Jewel, and I am a Homeschool Advisor. I am excited to bring homeschool support to HwH Academic Center. As a homeschool parent myself, I understand the heart, commitment, and dedication that go into guiding your child’s education.

I hold a degree in Social Work and have worked extensively with children and families in both academic and mental health settings. My background includes serving as the Youth Director for the nonprofit Let’s Heal, where I led mental health workshops for youth, facilitating group sessions at the New York Institute for the Blind, and providing crisis support through the Long Island Crisis Center and Volunteers of America. These experiences have strengthened my ability to support students’ academic growth, executive functioning skills, and emotional development while partnering closely with families.

At Homework Hub, my goal is to provide structured, parent-directed academic support that complements what you are already doing at home. I honor parents as the primary educators and decision-makers in their child’s education. My role is to guide, advise, and recommend supportive learning activities and supplemental instruction when needed. I also assist families in staying organized and compliant with New York State homeschool requirements, including submitting documentation such as Letters of Intent, IHIPs, quarterly reports, and annual assessments.
