The Learning Pod Admissions Application

A small, collaborative educational community

OUR ADMISSIONS APPROACH: Homework Hub's Learning Pod is intentionally designed as a small, collaborative educational community. To preserve the quality of instruction and provide a positive learning experience for all students, admission is based on overall program fit rather than first-come, first-served enrollment.


Our admissions process helps us determine whether the Learning Pod is the appropriate educational environment for each student. Depending on the applicant, the process may include:

  • Parent interview
  • Student interview 
  • Classroom observation
  • Review of educational records
  • Informal academic placement
  • Review of learning supports, when applicable
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • A 30-day introductory enrollment period


Because class sizes are intentionally kept small, enrollment is limited, and admission is selective. Homework Hub welcomes students with a wide variety of learning profiles; however, not every applicant may be an appropriate fit for the Learning Pod. If Homework Hub believes another Homework Hub program or another educational environment may better meet a student's needs, the admissions team may discuss those recommendations with the family.


Our goal is not simply to fill seats. Our goal is to build a supportive learning community where every student has the opportunity to learn, contribute, and thrive.

WHY WE ASK: Homework Hub welcomes students with a wide variety of learning profiles. This section helps us understand requested supports and whether the Learning Pod can provide an appropriate, positive experience within its small-group model. Families may share only information relevant to participation and support needs.


IMPORTANT: Submission of information about support does not guarantee that every requested service or accommodation can be provided. Homework Hub will discuss available supports, questions, and possible alternatives with the family.

Letters of Recommendation — Complete Only If Requested

Recommendations should come from adults who know the student in an educational, mentoring, coaching, or community setting. Homework Hub will provide submission instructions if letters are requested.

I authorize Homework Hub to review the educational records and support documents I submit for admissions, program-fit review, and informal academic placement. I understand that separate authorization is required before Homework Hub contacts any school or professional.
