My name is Allyson Uttendorfer, and I am an artist and art educator currently working at Half Hollow Hills High School East. I earned my BFA and BA in Fine Art and Art History from Stony Brook University, followed by master’s degrees in Art Education and Instructional Technology from Adelphi University and LIU Post.
I support my community as Vice President of the Babylon Village Arts Council Board and through my involvement with the Girl Scouts and the PTA Reflections Program.
I previously served as Director of Education at the Heckscher Museum of Art, where I worked for five years. I continue to serve on the museum’s Education Committee and remain involved as an educational consultant and program partner.
I am honored to have received the ASSET Teacher of Distinction Award and the HHH PTSA’s Outstanding Achievement in Advocacy Award for my work helping others.
My photographs have been exhibited at the Christensen Gallery, The Catbird Seat, The Art League of Long Island, Conklin House, Babylon Public Library, Webster Bank, and other local exhibitions.
