Hi! My name is Harris Mintz, and I have been teaching math for 12 years. I majored in mathematics at Binghamton University and earned my master’s degree in Math Education from Hunter College. I currently teach math at Long Island City High School in Queens.

My favorite part of teaching math is helping students see it as a puzzle—each concept is a piece, and learning is about discovering how those pieces fit together. I especially love seeing students who once thought they couldn’t understand math experience that “aha!” moment and gain confidence in their abilities.
