Linda Kern
College Advisor / College Essay Assistance / Executive Functioning Coach
High School, College Education, & College Planning

I love helping teens and parents understand the college planning process and works hand-in-hand with students to help them identify colleges that represent a good fit. I am an Associate Member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) and a member of NJACAC, TACAC, and the Learning Disabilities Association of America. I co-wrote and co-edited The ABCs of College Planning as an NJACAC member. I also am a trained Executive Function coach who assists teens and adults with skills such as time management, organization, self-regulation, and task initiation.
I earned my Certification in College Counseling from the University of California-San Diego. Before becoming a college counselor, I was an alumni interviewer for my alma mater, Cornell University.
I offer a full range of college planning services and regularly attend information sessions and professional development events so that I can bring families up-to-date information and identify admissions trends. I love getting those excited texts that say, “I’m in!!!”
